hello Antioch family and Facebook
00:02
friends Pastor Darrius Hubbard here to share
00:04
a word of encouragement with you today
00:06
life can be full of pain suffering
00:09
heartache and even loss and we can find
00:13
ourselves out of hopelessness or
00:15
anticipation looking and longing for a
00:17
new world even you can find ourselves
00:19
questioning God when the promise of his
00:22
kingdom will come it’s because we want
00:26
to see and feel the promise of a
00:29
painless and peaceful life here and now
00:33
but these longings and questions are not
00:35
new to Jesus we see the very same
00:38
question being asked of him in Luke
00:40
chapter 17 verses 20 through 21 let’s
00:43
read that together once being axed by
00:48
the Pharisees when the kingdom of God
00:50
would come jesus replied the coming of
00:54
the kingdom of God is not something that
00:56
can be observed nor will people say here
00:59
it is or there it is because the kingdom
01:02
of God isn’t is in your midst a few
01:06
things that we see in these short verses
01:09
here is that the kingdom of God coming
01:12
does not look like what we would imagine
01:15
it would look like it is not something
01:18
that can be labeled box nor will it be
01:21
something in flashing neon lights on top
01:25
of a building we also see here with the
01:31
Pharisees questions they were very much
01:33
known for acting hostile questions to
01:36
Tripp Jesus up and we see that in these
01:39
verses that hostile observation doubting
01:44
eyes are unable to receive or see the
01:48
kingdom of God
01:50
viewing this kingdom can only happen
01:52
through faith in Christ
01:54
lastly we see in these verses that seen
01:57
the kingdom of God means understanding
02:00
that we don’t look to buildings products
02:04
movements wealth or even a virus-free
02:08
world to find the kingdom of God with it
02:10
we find that with
02:12
and among us so as we place our faith
02:15
and hope in Jesus Christ the King there
02:18
is the kingdom he lives in us and we
02:23
become carriers of the kingdom so our
02:26
words deeds and thoughts confirm to the
02:32
world around us that the kingdom is here
02:35
so I wanted to encourage you today as
02:37
you go about your day your week bring
02:41
God’s kingdom to those around you by
02:45
loving your enemies praying with others
02:49
listening well using uplifting words and
02:53
sharing the gospel god bless you guys
